Ángeles Weaving Studio

In 1975, in a modest workshop in Oaxaca, José de los Ángeles began weaving more than textiles.

At a time when tradition was often confined to the past, he saw the future inside it. His designs were bold, contemporary, and ahead of their time — yet always rooted in Zapotec ancestral knowledge.

What Our client Say About
Our Services

Amy Traugot

What an excellent experiance. full cultural immersion, welcoming family business, but not touristy. Total hands on , all phases of the art and science of traditional work. Misael and Juana of Casa de los Angeles made the bedspread of my dreams. Now, home in the US, Mexico greets me every night and again in the morning. Their work is EXTREMELY FINE and STRONG, as are their hearts. They shipped two bedspreads that my kids will be happy to inherit someday, along with table linens, and a shawl--all expertly and beautifully made. I am thrilled to recommend the lovely people and ART of Casa de los Angeles!
